1. Prescription Drug Take-Back & Hazardous Waste Day

OASIS (Organizing Against Substances in Stoughton) will be holding its own Prescription Drug Take-Back event this Saturday, May 18 at the O'Donnell Middle School parking lot from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Can’t make it? visit the drug drop kiosk at the Stoughton Police Station for medication disposal and the sharps kiosk at the Stoughton Fire Station for needle disposal. Both are available any time (24/7), no questions asked.

The prescription drug take-back event is being held in conjunction with Hazardous Waste Day, also held Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the OMS parking lot.

Latex paints, auto waste oil, PCB contaminated waste, unlabeled articles, asbestos and explosives will not be accepted.
A fee will be charged for the following items:
Car tires ($2); light truck SUV tires ($3); Truck tire ($10 & up); construction equip. tires ($20 & up); auto batteries ($2) Propane canisters (20 lbs and over $5, 16 oz $1).
This hazardous waste collection is for Stoughton residents only. No material will be accepted from commercial operations. Proof of residency is required.
2. Stoughton Life Teen Yard Sale
Stoughton Life Teen is hosting a yard sale at Immaculate Conception Church on Canton St. Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Clean out your closets, garage, attic and help out Stoughton Life Teen at the same time. Donate all of your unwanted treasures to Life Teen and they will take care of the rest. You can start dropping off all of your items in the Church Parking Lot starting at 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Due to space limitations, they cannot accept items prior to the day of the event. Any items that do not sell during the yard sale will be donated to St. Vincent DePaul Society here in Stoughton. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Stoughton Life Teen program.
If there is inclement weather the yard sale will be held in the Church Hall.

3. SMAC Open House
SMAC (Stoughton Media Access Corporation) is having an open house at its Stoughton studios (421 Page St. Suite 2) this Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The open house, free of charge, will be fun for the whole family.
There will be a magician on site doing tricks; professional caricatures being drawn; karaoke; free blood pressure screenings; the chance to converse with a nurse; refreshments; and tours of the studio.
There will be a chance to talk with current producers and on air talent about their experiences and a the opportunity to become a member of SMAC and learn how to produce your own TV show.
4. SHS Class of 2016 Car Wash
This Saturday, May 18, the Stoughton High School freshman class (Class of 2016) will be holding a car wash at Walgreens (Central St. side) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
5. Final Registration for STOYAC Pop Warner Youth Football & Cheerleading
Final registrations for the Fall 2013 STOYAC Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheerleading teams will take place this Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Stoughton Police Station Community Room.

BONUS: Stoughton High Spring Fling & Art Show
The Stoughton High School Fine Arts Department will present its 2013 Spring Fling Art Show and Concert on Friday, May 17 at Stoughton High.
The Art Gallery will be open at 6:30 p.m. The concert portion will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Tickets will be available at the door only. Adults $5, seniors and children $3, with a family maximum of $10.
