STOUGHTON, MA — A Brockton man charged in a Canton break-in was apprehended in Stoughton Friday night.Deronde Bethea, 26, faces allegations that he stole $2,000 and a small safe from a Canton home while armed with a gun. He was ordered held on $500,000 cash bail, <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2018/07/14/brockton-man-arrested-after-home-invasion-and-foot-pursuit-canton/a8dJkqPfmTYTIH81pcroFN/story.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Boston Globe.</a> Police responded to the reported break-in on Rockland Street in Canton at about 11:30 p.m. At the scene, officers saw three men running from the house and towards a Ford pickup truck.Police followed the truck and a short time later, Betha, allegedly left the vehicle on Mill Street in Stoughton and tossed a weapon which was later recovered.Bethea was taken to custody following a foot chase.
