As late as Wednesday afternoon, forecasts indicated this area would see a lingering winter storm last all of Thursday and into Friday afternoon, but the total snowfall would be minimal - maybe 1 to 3 inches.
While the timing of the storm has stayed the same - the storm did not wind down until the late afternoon hours on Friday - the predicted snow totals were way off.
