Take a look at photos from the latest snowstorm, which blanketed Stoughton Thursday and Friday. Pictures were taken Friday afternoon, March 8.  As late as Wednesday afternoon, forecasts indicated this area would see a lingering winter storm last all of Thursday and into Friday afternoon, but the total snowfall would be minimal - maybe 1 to 3 inches.  While the timing of the storm has stayed the same - the storm did not wind down until the late afternoon hours on Friday - the predicted snow totals were way off.  Based on nearby snowfall totals posted by the National Weather Service, the Stoughton area received about 2 feet of snow.   Why did we get more snow than expected? <a href="http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/03/08/why-did-we-get-so-much-more-snow-than-expected/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Click here for an explanation</a>.
