Gas Drops Below $3 in Parts of Massachusetts--But Not Stoughton

Gas prices this week plummeted to their lowest levels of the year—dropping below $3 a gallon in some parts of Massachusetts. But Stoughton’s prices have remained well above $3 per gallon.

In Stoughton, prices reached a low of $3.11 per gallon. Here’s a look at the lowest prices in town as of Thursday, according to GasBuddy:
- Petro Plus (990 Washington St. & Crescent St.): $3.11
- Stoughton Gas (645 Washington St. & Voses Ct.): $3.15
- Prestige (1580 Tpke St. & Page St.): $3.17
- Cumberland Farms (309 Birch St. & Park St.): $3.19
- Shell (140 Sharon St. & Bay Rd.): $3.23
The average price of gas statewide was $3.26. Prices have been driven down by low demand and abundant supplies, according to the Associated Press.
