Hyde Park Man Charged After Trying to Flee Country for Theft at Stoughton Store

A Hyde Park man is facing breaking and entering and other charges for reportedly breaking into the Brazil for You store in Stoughton late last month.
Stoughton police said Friday that Walison Oliveira-Paulo, 25, of Hyde Park, allegedly broke into the Brazil for You store and stole a large amount of cash, then left the state on his way to Brazil. Stoughton officers were able to have the suspect detained from his connecting flight in Atlanta, Georgia, and Massachusetts State Police subsequently returned him to Massachusetts.

Oliveira-Paulo was charged on Thursday, Oct. 9 with breaking and entering in the night time for a felony, larceny of more than $250 and malicious destruction of property of more than $250.

At 1:10 a.m., Stoughton polijce pulled a vehicle over on Central Street and issued a summons to a Randolph man for a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.
Tuesday, Oct. 7
At 1:23 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle at Burger King on Park Street, where they arrested Darrell Brown, Jr., 25, of Randolph, for speeding in violation of special regulation and driving with a suspended license.
Thursday, Oct. 9
At 10:06 p.m., police arrested Renald Calixte, 24, of Stoughton, on a warrant.
