Man Claiming To Be Uber Driver Tried Give Ride To Stoughton Teen
Police say the driver offered the teen a ride to school and ignored the girl's refusals to get in his car.

STOUGHTON, MA — Residents are being reminded to tell their kids to be aware of their surroundings following an incident involving a Stoughton High School student Thursday afternoon.
In a letter to the Stoughton High School community, Principal Juliette Miller wrote that a student at a bus stop near Mill and Island streets was approached by a man who offered her a ride to school. The student declined to enter the car, but the driver persisted with his offer, despite the student's refusal. The student eventually ran away, went home, and notified an adult, police added.
"Though shaken up, the student is ok. I have spoken to her and her parent. We are grateful she knew how to respond in this situation," Miller wrote.
