Selectmen to Hold Public Hearing on Stoughton's Water, Sewer and Trash Rates

The public hearing on the water, sewer and trash rates will take place during the Stoughton Board of Selectmen's Tuesday, June 19 meeting at Town Hall.

The Stoughton Board of Selectmen will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, June 19 as part of their regularly scheduled meeting to consider adjustments to the municipal water, sewer and trash rates.

The hearing is scheduled for 8 p.m. in the Great Hall on the third floor of the .

Last August, Selectmen approved a for both water and sewer rates and an in trash fees for the year.

The Selectmen's meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Board going into executive session (closed to the public) for contract negotiations with Police Chief Paul Shastany.

The Board will then reconvene in open session (open to the public) where in addition to the hearing on water, sewer and trash rates, Selectmen will also interview candidiates for positions on various volunteer boards.
