Trooper MacDermott observed the vehicle move over into the far left lane and accelerate up to 90-95 mph before he was able to stop the vehicle in Stoughton.
Trooper MacDermott approached the vehicle and reportedly could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the the car. He spoke to the operator, Jason Brewer, 32, of Roxbury, who allegedly made statements indicating he was unlicensed and was unable to locate the registration of the vehicle.

While the trooper was speaking to the driver, the passenger allegedly interjected himself numerous times into the conversation. That passenger, Brian Marsh, 45, of Hyde Park, reportedly made statements that the car was owned by his wife but could neither tell Trooper MacDermott where they were coming from nor where they were going.
After Trooper MacDermott found several inconsistencies in Marsh's story, including his wife's supposed ownership of the car, a request for more cruisers was made.
Upon arrival of back-up cruisers Marsh was pat-frisked. Marsh was reportedly found to be in possession of an unloaded revolver he is not licensed to carry.
A search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana, prescription medication, and white powder believed to be cocaine, all of which was seized.
Marsh was transported to the State Police Barracks in Milton where he was booked and charged with the following: Unlicensed possession of a firearm; Possession of a Class E substance; Possession of a Class B substance; Possession of marijuana under 1 ounce; and a Seatbelt violation.
Marsh was held on $1,000,000 and was scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning, March 25 in Stoughton District Court.
Meanwhile, Brewer, the driver of the vehicle, was issued a summons and released from the scene.
