State Police Arrest Stoughton Woman for Drunk Driving

The arrest came during a State Police run sobriety checkpoint Friday on Neponset St. in Canton.

A Stoughton woman was arrested Friday in Canton for allegedly driving drunk, according to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police.

The State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Neponset Street in Canton April 5, resulting in the arrest of six people for OUI alcohol and drugs with two criminal summons, according to the release. State Police also issued 88 civil motor vehicle citations.

Mia Cancel, 46, of Stoughton, was charged with OUI liquor.

Those arrested during the sobriety checkpoint in Canton were expected to appear in Stoughton District Court on Monday, according to the release.

State Police also conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Route 3A in Lowell on April 6, resulting in the arrest of 12 people for OUI.
