Stoughton Crash Victim Is Cousin Of Jamaica Plain Murder Victim

It has been a heartbreaking month for the families of Nick and Christopher Joyce.

STOUGHTON, MA — While all of Stoughton is mourning the loss of four high school students, one family has already suffered a tremendous loss this month.

Nick Joyce, who died in Saturday's car crash in East Bridgewater, is the cousin of Christopher Joyce, who was gunned down in Jamaica Plain days before he was supposed to graduate from Salem State University.

Christopher Joyce, a 23-year-old college senior, was shot and killed outside a Jamaica Plain apartment along with Clayborn Blair, 58, of Boston. Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said shortly after the shooting that both men were innocent victims of a gang-related shooting.
