Stoughton Designated A Green Community

The town will receive more than $200,000 to put toward energy efficiency projects

Stoughton has been designated a Green Community by the state Department of Energy Resources.

It is the 19th town in Massachusetts to earn the distinction.

As a result, the town will receive a $209,910 grant to put toward local clean energy and energy efficiency projects.
