U.S. Senate
Incumbent Scott Brown, a Wrentham Republican, is set to face Democrat Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Professor, in his bid for reelection.
This figures to be a high profile race nationally, as Democrats look to retain their majority in the Senate, and Republicans look to retake the Senate, so a victory for either party here in the Bay State will be key in those efforts.
Brown was first elected in January 2010 in a special election victory over Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley.

U.S. Congress
Because of the results of the latest U.S. census and redistricting, Massachusetts lost a congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Stoughton, once part of the 9th District, will now be part of the new 8th district.
Stephen Lynch, a South Boston Democrat, is still the district's representative. Joe Selvaggi is a Republican running for Congress in the 8th District.
