Goldberg and Fowler recently joined the SFD as new firefighters.

Goldberg is the son of Acting Deputy Chief Greg Goldberg. Justin gradated from the State Firefighting Academy at the end of March, and joined the department on a full-time basis then. He had previously worked for the Norfolk Fire Department and was a per diem dispatcher with the SFD.

Greg and his wife Joanne had the honors of pinning their son's badge.

Fowler joined the SFD in January on a lateral transfer from the Amesbury Fire Department, and earned high praise from the chief of that department, Stoughton Fire Chief Mark Dolloff said. Dolloff said that before becoming a firefighter, Fowler was a professional skateboarder.

Fowler's wife, Sarah, pinned his badge.
