Stoughton Media Access Corp. Looking to Fill Board Seat

The Stoughton Media Access Corporation is looking to fill an open seat on its Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate should have an interest in cable production and wish to become an elected member of the board, according to the recent announcement.

The position is for a one-year term. votes for the “best qualified candidate” will be cast in December by SMAC producers and paid members, according to the announcement.

Qualifying candidates must have demonstrated interest in SMAC by at least one of the following activities:

• Membership in the organization for at least three months
• Be a board member of a nonprofit in Stoughton
• Demonstrated experience in film, radio, video, cable production or in performing arts.

Board members, moreover, are expected to participate in activities including participation in the Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
