Stoughton residents Bertha Pearl (Nogler) White, age 85, and Arthur F. Silva, Jr., age 58, both recently passed away.

Bertha Pearl (Nogler) White
Bertha Pearl (Nogler) White, 85, a of Stoughton, died at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain on Saturday, April 13. She was the wife of the late Robert J. White.

Daughter of the late Horace Henry Nogler and Florence Louise (Pentz) Nogler, she was born in Nictaux County, Nova Scotia. Mrs. White was a resident of Stoughton for two years after living in Sharon for over 10 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. White is survived by her children, Robert J. White and his wife Marion of Attleboro, Karen A. Kronk and Janice L. Dabrila and her husband Linas all of Stoughton and Laurie J. White of Falmouth.

She was the grandmother of Matthew Kronk, Lina, Andrea and Teresa Dabrila and Christen Miller. She was the sister of Ernest and Walter Nogler both of Canada and the late Edward, Melvin, Horace, Albert, Earl, Gordon and Robert Nogler and Margaret Coyne. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 2060 Commonwealth Ave., in Brighton on Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m.
Arrangements handled by the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton.

Arthur F. Silva, Jr.
Arthur F. Silva, Jr., 58, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, April 15 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton schools. Mr.Silva worked for the Local 4 Union of Operating Engineers for 15 years before owning A & T Taxi in Stoughton for several years.
Mr. Silva is survived by his daughter, Ashley A. Silva of Bridgewater, as well as his father, Arthur F. Silva, Sr. and his wife Mary (Feenan) Silva of Stoughton.
He was the brother of Thomas Silva of Stoughton and Sue Dos Santos Pais of Brockton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan A. Silva and his mother, Patricia (Howland) Silva.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Saturday, April 20 at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 a.m. Visiting Hours Friday, April 19 from 5-8 p.m. Interment will take place at Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
