The following are obituaries for Stoughton residents or those with Stoughton ties for the week of February 24 - March 2, 2013.

Rose T. Urciuoli
Rose T. Urciuoli, 102, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at home on Wednesday, February 27. She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette Urciuoli.
Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton schools. Rose was a textile worker for JW Wood in Stoughton for many years.

She was a founding member and Past President of the Minerva Lodge in Stoughton. She was also a member of the Mass. Catholic Women's Guild at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Rose was a longtime volunteer at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. In her free time she enjoyed traveling and had visited Italy, China and many other countries.

Rose is survived by her niece, Florence Pellicane of Quincy and her nephews, FrancisUrciuoli of Middleboro and Joseph Urciuoli of Pocasset. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sebastian "Pat", Carmen, Charles, Arthur, Ernest, Mary and Eleanor Urciuoli.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Saturday, March 2 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Robert J. Mooney
Robert J. Mooney, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on Saturday, February 23. He was the husband of 65 years of Mary G. (Ahearn) Mooney.
Born and raised in Boston, he was a resident of Stoughton for the past 45 years. Mr. Mooney was a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Marine Corps and a Veteran of World War II.
He was a carpenter, and retired from Boston Housing Authority 27 years ago. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Mooney is survived by his children, Robert Mooney of Boston, Sheila Mooney of Attleboro, Anne Donovan and her husband William of Halifax, Janet Mooney of Stoughton and Susan Mooney of Sharon.
He was the grandfather of Robert and Kylee Donovan, Katherine Fahey, Elizabeth and Caroline Dixon. He was the brother of Theresa Condry of Plymouth and the late Amelia Smith, Irene Smith and Thomas Mooney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral was held from the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Wednesday, February 27, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James ChurchStoughton. Interment took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.

Catherine G. "Kay" (MacLellan) Giblin
Catherine G. "Kay" (MacLellan) Giblin, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Saturday, February 23, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Thomas P. Giblin.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She was employed with Morse Shoe Co., in Canton, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1993.
Kay was a member of the Minerva Lodge and a communicant and volunteer at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She was an avid reader and enjoyed dining out, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was the mother of Ann Marie Peters and her husband Jay of Stoughton, Elaine M. Meagher and her husband Rick of Stoughton and Joan M. Giblin of Canton. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sister Theresa A. Keilty and her brother Alexander MacLellan.
She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Tara M. Barrows and her husband Zachary, Jill M. Peters and Michael T. Meagher and 1 great-grandchild, Calvin F. Barrows and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass took place at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton on Friday, March 1. Interment at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Jennie P. (Bielecki) Gusciora
Jennie P. (Bielecki) Gusciora, 94, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on February 21, 2013, after a short illness. She was predeceased by Henry J.Gusciora, her husband of 66 years, and all of her three sisters: Jeannette Lazarovich, Jessie Gradzewicz, and Leona Chunis.
Gusciora was born in Boston, and she attended Hyde Park Schools, graduating in 1936. She moved to Stoughton in 1950. She was a pleasant, gentle soul with a smile that could light up a room. She was a consummate homemaker and a great cook, totally dedicated to her family and its wellbeing. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Gusciora is survived by her three sons: Robert H. and his wife Dianne of Canandaigua, NY; Kenneth H. and his wife Toby of Pelham Manor, NY; and Paul H. and his wife Maia of San Rafael, CA.
In addition, she leaves three sisters-in-law, Lidia Banuk, Barbara Gusciora, and Doris Gusciora. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher, and Victoria, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours prior from 9-11 a.m. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Blanche I. (Swanson) Cushing
Blanche I. (Swanson) Cushing, of Brockton, formerly a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday February 20, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 83 years old and the beloved wife of over 60 years to CSM Melvin E. Cushing.
She was also the loving mother of Mark R. Cushing of Brockton and his longtime companion Esther I. Yim of Stoughton and a sister to the late Louis R. Swanson Jr.
Born August 16, 1929 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, Mrs. Cushing was a daughter to the late Louis R. and Jane (Hammond) Swanson. She attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a 1947 graduate of Stoughton High School.
Blanche was employed for many years as a clerk at the former JJ Newbury Store in Stoughton Center and as a bookkeeper at the former Norfolk County Bank and Trust in Stoughton and the Stoughton Co-Operative Bank.
She was a dedicated member of the American Humane Society. She will missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with her.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 27 at the in Stoughton. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
