Stoughton Obituary: Kathleen (Grady) Carolan, 104
Longtime Stoughton resident Kathleen (Grady) Carolan passed away April 27 at the age of 104. She was a former teacher at St. John's School in Canton.

Kathleen G. (Grady) Carolan, 104, died peacefully at the Copley at Stoughton on Saturday, April 27. She was the wife of the late Vincent H. Carolan.
Born in Boston and raised in West Roxbury, she was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Class of 1928 in Boston and Trinity College, Class of 1932 in Washington, DC. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1949.

Born in 1909, She turned 104 earlier this month, on April 11.
Mrs. Carolan was the first permanent lay teacher at St. John's School in Canton. She taught at St. John's for 20 years before retiring 34 years ago.

She was a member of the Stoughton Women's Club and Trinity Alumni Association.
Mrs. Carolan is survived by her children, Vincent "Hugh" Carolan, Jr. and his wife Nancy, and Martha C. Sampson and her husband William, all of Stoughton, Lucia C. McNamara and her husband Frank of NH and FL, Paul T. Carolan of Woodstock, NH and Brenda C. MacNeil and her husband Stephen of Chapel Hill, NC.
She was the sister of the late Thomas J. Grady, Jr. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) in Stoughton on Tuesday, April 30 from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will take place at Holyhood Cemetery in Chestnut Hill.
