Stoughton Police Make Drunk Driving Arrest; Arrest Teen for Smashing Window at Library

Drunk Driving Arrest

Stoughton Police received several 911 calls around 12:30 a.m. on March 19 reporting a motor vehicle in the woods in the vicinity of 700 Pleasant St. in Stoughton.

April M. Rivers, 29, of Canton St. in Easton, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and the negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The Stoughton Fire Department transported Rivers to a hospital in Boston for undisclosed injuries, according to the Stoughton Police log.

Shoplifting

  • Patricia Kennedy, 42, of Woodlawn Ave. in Needham was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise at Target on Hawes Way in Stoughton. The alleged incident was reported to police at 7:46 p.m. March 25.
  • Stoughton Police arrested two for allegedly shoplifting from Kohl’s on Technology Center Dr. in Stoughton. Linda Prater, 26, of E. Cottage St. in Dorchester, was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise (third offense) and Ashley Conley, 25, of Mass. Ave. in Boston, was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. The alleged incident was reported to police at 3:33 p.m. March 20.
  • Amelia Rosa, 55, of Battles Farm Dr. in Brockton, was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise at Kohl’s in Stoughton. The alleged incident was reported to police at 4:41 p.m. on March 19.

Motor Vehicle Accident

A caller reported a two car accident in front of Walgreens on Washington St. in Stoughton at 6:55 a.m. on March 21.

Nelson M. Alvarez, 42, of Washington Ave. in Chelsea, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license; operating an uninsured motor vehicle; and for leaving the scene of property damage.

Stolen Vehicle

Menelaos Demitrios Mitoulis, 37, of 402 Technology Center Dr. in Stoughton was charged the morning of March 20 with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
