Stoughton Police Make Several Drunk Driving Arrests in Past Week

Drunk Driving Arrests

May 4

Bernadette Wyman, 53, of Berkley, MA, was charged with operating under the influence (OUI liquor) following a motor vehicle stop at 37 Dykeman Way in Stoughton at 1:09 a.m. on May 4.

Wyman was also charged with operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger; possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle; a lights violation; making an improper right turn; and a marked lanes violation. 

May 2

Stoughton Police received a call at 2:39 a.m. on May 2 for a suspicious motor vehicle at McDonald's on Washington St. in Stoughton. The caller reported two possible drunk males in a vehicle.

Aaron Alonso Shepherd, 30, of Avon, was charged with operating under the influence (OUI liquor) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

A 33-year-old Stoughton man was also placed in protective custody.

May 1

A caller from Cumberland Farms informed Stoughton Police of a possible drunk driver at 5:56 p.m. on May 1.

Police stopped the vehicle on Freeman St. and charged Richard E. Sheehan, 58, of Canton with operating under the influence (OUI liquor, 2nd offense) and the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

April 28

Stoughton Police charged Austin Lin, 28, of Wheeler Circle in Stoughton, with operating under the influence (OUI liquor); negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and failure to stop/yield, following a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Central St. and Island St. at 1:30 a.m. on April 28.  

April 28

Stoughton Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at 471 Washington St. at 9:52 p.m. on April 28. 

Brian M. McCarthy, 37, of Rosewood Dr. in Stoughton, was charged with operating under the influence (OUI liquor) and following too close.
