Stoughton Principal Takes Part in 'Lock Up' Program

The O'Donnell Middle School head was "locked up" to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The principal of O’Donnell Middle School in Stoughton took part in a “lock up”program last week in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, according to school officials.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Matt Colantonio was “held in lock up until enough donations were collected to post bail.” It was also Colantonio’s birthday, according to the announcement.

As part of the mock arrest, police took O’Donnell away from the school in handcuffs, and as a way to raise “bail,” students were allowed to purchase a key to view the police taking him away. More than $300 in student donations were raised in the effort, officials said.
