Stoughton, State Police Seize Guns, Drugs and Money in Early Morning Raid

A Brockton man and a Stoughton man were charged and arraigned in Stoughton District Court on Thursday.

A drug task force comprising officers from the Stoughton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, FBI and other agencies obtained two handguns, drugs and thousands in cash as a result of a raid at a Stoughton residence early Thursday morning, MSP said in a statement.

The task force -- which also included members of the State Police Gang Unit, State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County and Brockton Police Department -- executed a search warrant at 97 Pratts Ct. in Stoughton Thursday morning at around 6 a.m.

During the raid, which MSP said was part of an ongoing investigation, police seized a loaded Glock .40 caliber, semi-automatic handgun; a loaded Ruger 9mm, semi-automatic handgun; a “quantity of a substance believed to be heroin” and thousands of dollars in cash, according to MSP.

As a result, police arrested Patrick Brandao, 22, of Brockton and Isaiah Teixeira, 29, of Stoughton, on the following charges:

  • Possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance within a school zone
  • Possession of a firearm while committing a felony (two counts)
  • Unlawful possession of ammunition
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm
  • Receiving stolen property

Brandao, moreover, had four outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to police. Both suspects were arraigned in Stoughton District Court on Thursday.
