1. Home for Little Wanderers Volunteer Information Session

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will allow you make the difference in the life of a child? The Home for Little Wanderers will host a Volunteer Information Session on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the non-profit’s newly rebuilt Longview Farm facility, 399 Lincoln Road, Walpole, MA. Serving children and youth from birth to 21, The Home makes a positive impact on over 7,000 lives across Boston and Eastern Massachusetts each year through a network of behavioral health services, therapeutic residential, special education, adoption and foster care.

2. Meetings in Walpole Tuesday

• The Walpole Board of Selectmen will be meeting at 7 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at Town Hall.

3. Pajama Storytime at Walpole Library

The Walpole Library, in conjuction with the Walpole Coordinated Family & Community Engagement Program, will feature an evening storytime at 6:30 p.m. Kids are encouraged to wear pajamas while they listen to a story and participate in a craft. This program is open to all. Drop-ins are welcome.

The National Weather Service says showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm Tuesday. Areas of fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 48 by 5 p.m. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

At night, there is a chance of showers, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 31. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
