5 Things, Nov. 3-4: Girl Scouts Founder's Day and PetSmart Adoption Weekend

1. Walpole Girl Scouts Founder's Day
The Walpole Girl Scouts are holding their annual Founder's Day, to honor Juliette Gordon Low at the Scout House, on 1 Scout Road in East Walpole, Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2-4pm.
All troops are encouraged to attend.

There will be a flag ceremony, crafts run by older troops, and a campfire complete with s'mores!
Any girl who may be interested in seeing a little of what Girl Scouts is about is welcome to join in the fun, with an opportunity to register.

2. PetSmart National Adoption Weekend
PetSmart at the Walpole Mall will be participating in PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend.
For every adoption during the National Adoption Weekend, BSAC receives $35 in adoption reward grant from PetSmart Charities.
Please note that BSAC requires an adoption application to be completed before an adoption can take place. Each application takes two-three business days to process. To ensure a smooth and speedy adoption, please complete an application from our web site at www.baystateanimals.org
BSAC volunteers will be at PatSmart Store in Walpole based on the following schedule:
Friday Nov. 2, from 4-6 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
We will be raffling off a gift basket and offering the chance to win discounted adoption fees.
3. Walpole Boy's and Girls' Soccer Playoffs
After both getting preliminary round wins Friday night the boys' and girls' soccer teams will play Sunday in the first round of the MIAA Div. 1 South Sectional.
The boys' will play Sunday, Nov. 4 at New Bedford, at 5 p.m.
The girls' will also play Sunday, Nov. 4, at Bishop Feehan, at 5 p.m.

5. Dry Weekend Expected
The National Weather Service calls for Saturday to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph. At night, look for mostly cloudy skies, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 34. Northwest wind around 7 mph.
On Sunday, they predict mostly sunny skies, with a high near 48. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph. Sunday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 28. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
