5 Things, Sept. 25: Healthy Nutrition Course, Scrabble and Beatlemania Now

1. High Near 72, Low of 55 Tuesday

The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies, with a high near 72. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon.

At night look for increasing clouds, with a low around 55. Southwest wind around 7 mph.

2. Back to School Nutrition Course by Walpole Rec

Walpole Rec will be hosting a Back to School Nutrition 101 course at Blackburn Hall today. Topics will include how to pack a healthy lunch, finding healthier snack alternatives and reading food labels to identify health benefits.

There are two sessions available: 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

3. Walpole COA to See Beatlemania Now

The Walpole Council on Aging is hosting a trip to Twin River casino, in Lincoln, R.I. The trip, which costs $49.95, includes transportation, buffet-style luncheon, the Beatlemania Now show and $10 for gaming.

5. Middle School Scrabble Club at Library

Kids can head to the Walpole Library from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to learn to play Scrabble or learn strategies, scoring methods and handy two-letter words that can get you out of a jam. Bring Kids can play on-line Scrabble and Words with Friends. Scrabble boards provided.
