Car Fire Knocked Down After Starting in Walpole Garage

The Walpole Fire Department was able to quickly douse the flames of a car fire inside a garage Wednesday morning.

The Walpole Fire Department knocked down a vehicle fire Wednesday morning inside a resident's garage.

The vehicle, a Volvo stationwagon, caught fire inside a two-story garage, according to Walpole fire chief Tim Bailey.

The fire occured around 8:30 a.m. at 5 North St. in a two-story garage. Bailey said the fire was contained to the vehicle and put out within five minutes of arrival.
