Help Out the Walpole Town Forest Cleanup

Walpole residents can help clean up the Walpole Town Forest this Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Walpole Recreation Department, Parks Department and the Walpole Town Forest Committee is inviting residents to “Town Forest Cleanup Day.” Residents can help clean up the forest this Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..

The Cleanup Day is the first in a series of events and activities taking place around Walpole to commemorate the centennial celebration of the Town Forest, which is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2016. The cleanup will begin at the Walpole Water Department entrance, located at 1303 Washington St.

The Town Forest today expands over 150 acres of land and became the third Tree Farm in the state recognized by the Massachusetts Forestry Association.
