PRELIMINARY FISCAL YEAR 2022 ASSESSMENTS
The Town of Walpole has received notification from the Bureau of Local Assessments of preliminary certification of the Towns revaluation program and proposed assessments for all classes of property for fiscal year 2022. The fiscal year 2022 proposed assessments are as of January 1, 2021, utilizing real estate sales from 2020.

The revaluation program is necessary to achieve full and fair cash value in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40 Section 56.
The proposed values were derived utilizing a methodology based on mass appraisal practices, and are supported with 2020 real estate market conditions and are uniformly and equitably applied to all properties.
Proposed assessments will be available on the Town of Walpole’s website located on the Assessors Database as of November 3, 2021. Proposed assessments will also be available in the Assessor’s office at the Town Hall beginning Wednesday, November 3, 2021 through Tuesday, November 9, 2021, during regular business hours.
Property owners who have questions concerning the proposed valuation should contact the Walpole Board of Assessors at (508) 660-7315 during office hours.
All proposed property valuations are subject to final review and approval by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Division of Local Services (Certification Standards).
