Overcrowding an Issue on Walpole School Buses

A message from School Business Administrator Michael Friscia.

The Walpole Public Schools Business Office and Connolly Bus have been working to resolve the crowding issues on some of our buses. Although we have implemented late fees and a waitlist, many parents still submitted their bus applications after the deadline and during the first week of school. In order to resolve this issue, Walpole Schools will be shortening the deadline for bus passes to be checked. Students will be required to have a bus pass starting on Tuesday, September 11th and any students who do not have a bus pass at that time will not be permitted to ride the bus. All students on the current waitlist will be placed on buses based on the order that their application was received and the availability of space on the buses.
