Police Thank Public for Help in Finding Missing Medfield Teen
Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. thanked the public for being instrumental in locating Brittany Thompson, the 17-year-old Medfield teen who had been missing since Sept. 9.

At a press conference at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, Medfield Police Chief Robert Meaney Jr. announced that Brittany Thompson, a Medfield teen missing since Sept. 9, had been found "safe and unharmed" in Coventry, RI.
Just before noon on Sept. 12, Chief Meaney shared "very good news" with Medfield residents with this reverse 9-1-1 call:
"Brittany Thompson has been found safe and unharmed. We received many credible pieces of information from people that were instrumental in solving the issue. Thank you to all who helped us find Brittany."
Thompson has been reunited with her family and, Fox Boston reported on Thursday night that Stephen Ardrey, 30, of Missouri, is expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Providence today, Sept. 13.
