The suspect walked into the store brandishing a hypodermic needle and demanded the money from the register. The cashier refused and the suspect fled in a small white sedan. The circumstances surrounding this crime were nearly identical to a similar incident that had occurred in Stoughton just a few days earlier.

Through an investigation and search, Detective Sullivan and Officer. Ian Tolland located suspect’s vehicle.
Officer Tolland began to prepare several search warrants as Detective Sullivan, Detective Sgt. Robert Kilroy, Stoughton Detective Sgt. Robert Welch, and Foxboro Detective Patrick Morrison conducted surveillance.
Shortly thereafter, Soda left the motel. With the assistance of Walpole and Foxboro patrol officers, a motor vehicle stop was conducted and Soda was arrested on several charges.
Soda was transported to the Walpole Police Department where he was interviewed by detectives from the Walpole and Stoughton police departments. During those interviews Soda confessed to the crimes, according to police, and is now facing armed robbery charges in two jurisdictions.
