Walpole Community Food Pantry to Receive Donations from Sharon Credit Union Campaign

Donations raised by Sharon Credit Union's third annual Brighten Someone's Day Campaign increase by 30 percent.

Sharon Credit Union’s third annual Brighten Someone’s Day campaign recently wrapped up another successful year and will be donating proceeds to several area food pantries, including Walpole's Community Food Pantry.

For the past three years during the month of March, the Credit Union’s branches and corporate office have served as collection sites for donated laundry detergent.

“This year, through the generosity of our employees and the members of our communities, I am pleased to announce we exceeded last year’s donations by 30 percent," said Jim Carlson, president of Sharon Credit Union. "I would like to thank those who opened their hearts by participating in this important campaign, which provides a very basic necessity to those less fortunate."
