After another outstanding season by the Porkers field hockey team, the girls were named the first seed in the MIAA Div. 1 South Sectional playoffs. Walpole went a perfect 18-0 on the season and outscored their opponents 116-4. They await the winner of the <a href="http://miaa.statebrackets.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=2630" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Preliminary Round</a> matchup between 16th seeded Somerset Berkeley and 17th seeded Darmouth, which will take place Thursday, Nov. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Also in their bracket are (8) New Bedford and (9) Wellelsey. Their First Round match up will be at home Saturday, Nov. 3. at 4 p.m. Last year, the Porkers lost to Duxbury in the South Sectional final game.
