Walpole Football, Field Hockey Move Up in Rankings

See where they rank this week.

Last week we checked-in on how Walpole's varsity football and field hockey teams were doing in local polls.

After going undefeated last week both teams have moved up in their respective rankings, depending on who you look at.

After their, 49-0, trouncing of Wellesley Friday night, ESPNBoston.com currently has the Walpole (6-0) football team ranked sixth in the state - up from the seventh spot a week ago. Boston.com still has Walpole at seventh.

The Porkers, Walpole's field hockey team, is now the second best team in Massachusetts, according to Boston.com's Globe Top 20 rankings. Last week the girls squad was ranked third.

The Porkers (13-0) went a perfect 4-0 last week beating then-fifth ranked Andover, 3-0, and picking up wins over Wellesley, Framingham and Notre Dame Academy in Worcester.

The girls will take on Milton on the at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The Rebel football team will face Needham, who is 5-1 on season, at home Friday night.
