Elsie Arthur Lowry, 91, of Walpole died October 25 in Sunrise Norwood Assisted Living. Born in Norwood, October 18, 1921, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (Blackburn) Arthur, Mrs. Lowry had lived in Walpole for most of her life. She was a 1940 graduate of Walpole High School. Mrs. Lowry had been a secretary for the Cullinett Software Company in Westwood for 5 years before retiring. She had previously worked as a secretary at Plimpton Press, The American Can Company and at Rustcraft. Elsie had been a volunteer at Norwood Hospital for over 30 years and had also volunteered at the Walpole High School library for 6 years. She was the sister of the late Charles B. Arthur and Mary E. Robinson. She is survived by her 5 nieces and their families. Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Walpole at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the MSPCA 350 S. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130. Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home, Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
