Rose M. (Sarkis) Shamaly, 82, of Walpole died February 7 in the Charlwell House in Norwood. Born in Littleton, New Hampshire, May 27, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Francis) Sarkis, Mrs. Shamaly was raised in North Adams, Mass. and had lived in Dorchester prior to moving to Walpole 53 years ago. A homemaker, Mrs. Shamaly enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her son John F. Shamaly III of Somerville and her dear friend Rodman Hacker of Walpole. She was the mother of the late Richard A. Shamaly. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street in Walpole at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole. Visitation will be on Wednesday from Noon to 2:00 p.m.
