Walpole Obituary: Victoria Antonitis

Ms. Antonitis worked at and retired from the Bird Machine Company in East Walpole.

Victoria Teresa (Bartucca) Antonitis, age 81, of Concord, formerly of Norwood, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse Peter Antonitis. Born in Matoaka, West Virginia on January 2, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Teresa Bartucca. She moved with her family to Massachusetts in the late 1940s and resided in Norwood for over 50 years.

In addition to raising her family, she was employed by, and retired from, the Bird Machine Company in East Walpole.

She moved to Concord in 2001 where she enjoyed being near and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Victoria is pre-deceased by her husband, Alphonse, in 2010. She is survived by 5 children, Al Antonitis and his wife Rosemary of Concord, Patricia woods and her husband Glenn of South Carolina, Anthony Antonitis and his wife Karna of North Attleboro, Teresa Postler and her husband Michael of Concord, and Robert Antonitis and his wife Maureen of Walpole. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Jake, Hudson, Philip, James, Jacob, Victoria, Zachary, and Madison. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Barbara Mamone of South Carolina, Mary Rondinelli of Canton, Frances Ciacia of Norwood and Jean Michienzi of Cape Cod. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Bruno, Michael, Joseph and Frank Bartucca.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18 from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, 27 Monument Square, Concord Center at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in St. Bernards Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, October 17th from 4 to 8 PM.
