Walpole to Offer CERT Training and NWS SKYWARN Program

Walpole Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is offering a CERT program on Thursday, March 14 from 7- 9:30 p.m. at the Community Room of the Walpole Public Library.

Walpole CERT training is a 10-12 week program with several Saturday morning field training exercises to be scheduled at a later date. 

Walpole CERT program follows the national and state standard and the needs of the Walpole community.

The March 14 program is open to all and will be limited to 30 participants. Instructors will be from Walpole Public Safety community. Members from Walpole CERT Team will be assisting.

You must complete all classes to receive a CERT Certificate and be eligible to apply for membership to Walpole CERT Team. This program is being offered at no cost as a community outreach service by Walpole CERT Team.

For pre-registration, call the Walpole Health Office at 508-660-7321. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) is a Citizen Corps program.  Visit the CERT website at www.citizencorps.gov/cert

Walpole will also be hosting a SKYWARN program on May 2 from 7-10 p.m.  This program will be held at the Walpole Public Library, Community Room. This program is free open to all.
