2. "Bike Optional" Bike Ride in Boston

Where/When: Meet at Norwood Central MBTA station, Saturday, July 28, 11 a.m.

Why Go: Join the Bicycle Club of Norwood for a beginner's ride on the Esplanade in Boston. Meet at Norwood Central train station in time to catch the 11:10 a.m. train to Boston. All riders welcome - you will sign a waiver and join the club (free) before the ride. Riders without bikes, or those curious to try the Hubway system, will rent Hubway bikes at Charles/MGH T station. The ride will proceed along the Esplanade via the Paul Dudley Warner bike path at a very leisurely pace. Riders pay all incidental costs: $4 cash for parking at Norwood Central if needed, $13.50 cash for train fare; bring credit or debit card for T fare ($5) and Hubway bike rental ($11). Back at Norwood Central by 3:53 p.m.

3. Live Irish Music at The Raven's Nest

Where/When: The Raven's Nest, Walpole; Sunday, 4-7 p.m.

4. "Treasure Island" by the Walpole Children's Theatre

Where/When: 2 Scout Road, East Walpole; Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Check out the Walpole Children's Theatre production of "Treasure Island" from the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, adapted by Joseph George Caruso. Walpole Children's Theatre, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Walpole, offering education in the theatre arts.

5. Blue Hills Brewery Tours

Where/When: ; Friday, 3:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday 2-6 p.m.

Why Go: Blue Hills Brewery makes great tasting beers inspired by the elements and nature around; embracing the rich history of the Blue Hills and the South Shore. Stop by the brewery for a complimentary tour and tasting, held every weekend.
