Another Waltham Business Shuttered For Health Concerns

State officials have closed another Waltham compounding center in the wake of a surprise inspection, according to the Boston Globe. 

OncoMed Pharmaceutical Services was issued a cease and desist order on Nov. 21 after inspectors found problems with the way chemotherapy drugs were being stored, according to the newspaper. The company said there was no issue with the drugs themselves, just how they were being stored. 

The company has ceased operaiton and is working to fix the issues, according to the Globe. 

This is the second Waltham drug manufacturing center in recent weeks to cease operation. Infusion Resource of Waltham recently suspended operation over similar concerns.
