Another Waltham Power Outage Leaves Hundreds In The Dark

WALTHAM, MA — Another power outage in Waltham left several hundred residents without power this week, according to a letter sent to customers from Eversource.

The outage took place in the area of 190 Moody Street and impacted at least 289 customers.

Eversource said the outage was caused by damage to their electrical equipment, but did not release specific details. Power was restored just after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Moody Street outage comes after power surges in the city on Oct. 15 caused transformer fires, produced smoke in buildings, and left multiple traffic signals inoperative. The cause of that issue remains under investigation.
