Assaults On Popular Waltham Trail Under Investigation

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham police are investigating two assaults that reportedly occurred in the Riverwalk area of the Charles River Reservation.

The Waltham Police Department has added extra police patrols to the Riverwalk in response to the assaults, officials said.

The Charles River Reservation is a State Park maintained by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The Massachusetts State Police maintain jurisdiction over incidents occurring on the property and are assisting Waltham police with the investigation.
