WATCH: Brandeis Scholar Speaks At UN Holocaust Commemoration
Karen Frostig, the grandchild of Holocaust survivors and a Brandeis affiliated scholar, addressed the UN on Friday.

WALTHAM, MA — A scholar with ties to Waltham will be a featured speaker at the United Nations Holocaust Memorial Ceremony on Friday.
Karen Frostig is the grandchild of Holocaust survivors and a Brandeis Women's Studies Research Center Affiliated Scholar.
Frostig is the founding director of the Locker of Memory project, which is "dedicated to recovering the history of the Jungfernhof concentration camp where 3985 German & Austrian Jews were imprisoned," the university said.

The memorial ceremony includes remarks by the United Nations Secretary-General; the President of the 77th session of the General Assembly, the Permanent Representative of Israel and the Deputy Representative of the United States to the United Nations.
