Developer Eyes Purchase of Waltham Sunoco

WALTHAM, MA – A New York-based developer with property in Waltham is reportedly looking to expand as it eyes the purchase of a nearby gas station.

Kimco Realty purchased Linden Plaza some years ago, and is now in talks to buy the nearby Sunoco at 375 Main St., according to reports from Waltham Newswatch and The Waltham Channel.

If Kimco succeeded in buying the property, the gas station would be demolished to make room for another business, according to Newswatch. The company is holding a meeting Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in the basement hearing room at Government Center to discuss the project with neighbors.

Linden Plaza is located at Linden and Main in Waltham.
