Explaining Waltham's Ongoing National Grid Gas Main Project

WALTHAM, MA — National Grid has begun a natural gas main replacement project that is expected to run through nearly the end of the year and impact over 130 spots in the city.

So what exactly are they working to replace?

"Investing in infrastructure upgrades will help National Grid continue to provide safe and reliable natural gas to customers for years to come," officials said of the project.

The project began on June 23 and is expected to run through Dec. 19. Working hours are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the project.
