How To Get Rid Of Your Christmas Tree In Waltham

The city will take your tree from the curb or at a trio of drop-off sites in 2025. Here's what to know.

WALTHAM, MA — The winter holidays are now in the rearview, meaning people across the country are all probably wondering the same thing: Do we need to take the decorations down?

They always come down eventually, and Waltham is prepared to handle your Christmas tree disposal in 2025.

The city runs a curbside pick-up service for trees and operates three drop-off sites for three weeks following Christmas day.

Drop-off locations include:

  • Nipper Maher Park, 65 Dartmouth St.
  • Graverson Playground, 16 Pine Vale Rd.
  • Cornelia Warren Park, 140 Beaver St.

For tree pick-up, all lights ornaments, plastic bags and stands must be removed.
