How To Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Newton

Here's when it'll be picked up at your curb, or where you can drop it off.

(Renee Schiavone/Patch)

NEWTON, MA – Another Christmas has come and gone, and now it's time to dispose of the tree before you're wading through pine needles.

In Newton, Christmas tree pickup will run from Jan. 4 until Jan. 15. Collection will be on your assigned recycling day only.

Residents are asked to place their tree out on the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day. But the city asks that all decorations and lights be removed and the tree should not be in a bag.
