For July 4, MA Restaurants Break Out Margarita And Ice Cream Specials: Cheap Eats

MASSACHUSETTS — It's July 4 weekend, and area restaurants are getting into the fun with unique specials and celebrations all weekend.

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is hosting its annual Independence Weekend Fiesta starting on Thursday and running through Sunday.

Officials said it "will be a four-day celebration with festively crafted drinks and tropical staycation vibes."

As an ultimate pregame on July 3, Margaritas will kickoff the fiesta with a trio of red, white and blue margarita options available for only $6 each: an original, strawberry and a "Blue Hawaiirita."

From Thursday through Sunday, $3 Jell-O shots as well as a $10 margarita flight featuring three specialty margaritas paired with a Jell-O shot will also be available.

These specials are available at all four Margaritas locations in Massachusetts, which include Framingham, Northborough, Revere and Waltham.

Sugar Factory

For those looking for a family-friendly beverage to cool off, Sugar Factory’s limited-edition Red, White & Boom Insane Milkshake is an option.

Officials say it's a patriotic mix of vanilla soft serve and cookie dough ice cream in a vanilla-frosted mug, adorned with red, white and blue sugar crystals, candy stars, whipped cream, strawberry rock candy, cola bottle gummies and mini fast food gummies.

The shake is available for a limited time nationwide through July 31. Sugar Factory is located at 101 S. Market St. in Boston's Faneuil Hall.

Buttermilk & Bourbon

Buttermilk & Bourbon will be opening early at 10:30 a.m. at the Back Bay location on July 4, serving a mini version of the brunch menu until 3 p.m., along with food and drink specials including the Lady Liberty (Hornitos, coconut and strawberry).

The Watertown location will open at 12 p.m. and will offer the same brunch menu and specials.

Northern Spy

Northern Spy will be closed on July 4 in observance of the holiday, but will be celebrating with festive weekend specials, including hot dogs and hot buttered lobster rolls at The Garden Bar.

On Thursday, Northern Spy will be open for lunch and dinner service. The Garden Bar will also be open, serving hot dogs and hot buttered lobster rolls.

On Saturday, the restaurant will be open for dinner service from 4 to 9 p.m. The Garden Bar will open at 4:00 p.m., serving hot dogs and hot buttered lobster rolls. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner service on Sunday.
