Man Indicted In Waltham Armed Robberies

WALTHAM, MA — A Lynn man is accused of a string of armed robberies in Middlesex County, including knocking over two convenience stores in Waltham.

Ramfis Casado, 34, was indicted on more than two dozen charges, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Malden Chief of Police Kevin Molis said in a joint statement. He will be arraigned Friday in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn.

Casado was arrested Dec. 10, a day after a masked armed robbery of a Malden convenience store. He has been held without bail since.

He was indicted Feb. 6 on 26 charges connected to 10 other robberies, including robbing A1 Market and Roxy's United Convenience Store both on Moody Street on Dec.2. Officials said he was armed with a knife in both robberies, as well as ones in Arlington, Everett, Malden, Melrose and Woburn

Casado was indicted on 10 counts of armed and masked robbery, 10 counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery, unarmed robbery, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop a motor vehicle at a police stop and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
