The Waltham City Council and Board of Survey & Planning will hold a joint hearing on Tuesday to review and discuss a proposal that would allow fast food establishments to operate in Business C districts, but only after receiving a special permit, according to the Oct. 16 City Council agenda hearing.
That means any business considered “fast food” under city regulations would have to apply for and receive a special permit from the City Council.
Currently, fast food shops are allowed under Business A, Business B, Commercial and Industrial zones with a special permit.
