No Injuries In Waltham Gunshot Case

A teenager faces multiple charges, including assault with intent to murder, after firing a gun this week in Waltham.

WALTHAM, MA — A teenager faces serious charges after police said he fired a gun this week in Waltham.

On Monday, around 5:26 p.m., Waltham Police responded to the area of Moody Street and Railroad Avenue following a report of a man firing a gun.

Upon arrival, officers located two men at the scene. Through investigation, it was determined that the individuals were known to each other and that the incident was isolated to them, Waltham police said.

No injuries were reported.

A 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and other firearm-related offenses.

Due to the incident’s proximity to the Charles River and railroad tracks, the Massachusetts State Police and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Police assisted in the response. The investigation remains ongoing.
